Catalina Island is off the coast of Southern California. Hundreds of years ago the Spanish explorers and missionaries brought Spanish goats and boar to the Island and set them free so they could use the goats and boar for food when they returned to the Island when they sailed the oceans. In modern times the goats and boar did not have any predators and over populated the Island and ate all the vegetation and were soon to starve. The organization that owns Catalina Island tried to thin the herds by adopt a pet programs and through guided bow hunting trips.Sandy’s Dad decided to go on one of these guided bow hunts and the adventure begins!
